Can you get STDs from something other than sex?

I dont have std’d or anything, but I was just wondering if someone has std’s and they made out with a lot and stuff, can the other person get std’s? Because I thought you only get std’s from having sex?

STDs can be transmitted in other ways depending on the STD/STI. Herpes can be transmitted orally for example. And certainly any STD/STI can be contracted through bodily fluids.

most stds can be caught by making out if you swallow GALLONS of their saliva. gross. other tahn that most is very rare.
