Spore Problem: Graphics Card?

For Christmas I got the new Spore game unfortunatly upon installing it into our computer we realized our graphics card did not meet min specs. So we went out to the store got a PNY NVIDIA GeForce 8400 GS graphics card along with a new 400 watt power supply. The game worked pretty well for awile then it started shutting down when exiting planets, the error message was one of those send/dont send ones. this wasnt quite a big deal at first but as I played it longer it started doing this more frequently until it would shut down everytime I tried to exit planets. I’m not amazing with computers so I would like some advice oas to what the problem may be, we only have at the highest one AGP slot so I’m not able so get too much better. If you need more specs to evaluate the problem just ask. =) Thank you so much it would be most appriciated.

Answer #1

Our computer has one AGP and a couple PCIs (not PCI-e), the Geforce 8400 is currently hooked up to the AGP. A new computer or motherboard isnt really an option either so keep that in mind too please… =) haha

Answer #2

It Sounds like you over heated your graphics card and is it (pci xp X16 or apg) or maybe it even might be your power supply.
