What exactly are you going to be using it for?

I have a netbook with the exact stats as you have displayed (it’s an Acer), and it actually works pretty well. Though it’s only 1GB memory, it does run fast enough for your every-day purposes, aside from gaming.

If down the road you want to have an optical drive (cd burner), you can always purchase an external one for like $50. I did that, and it works fine for me. (:

its crap for a laptop..

microsoft has stated 2gb min for win7 so why they sell with only 1gb ill never know..

ive never used starter and never will but i know its got noting the real win7 os has so thats why.

look around cus youll find summet a lot more powerful than that and prob for cheaper too.

for school and for home. i want a portable laptop so i can bring anywhere. and my computer is getting messed up. i wouldnt really use it for memoy i just need to use it for internet etc…

Well, if you are not going to be downloading much of anything, and you’re not going to be playing games on it…you should be fine.

Sounds, like your basic cheap pc laptop,, If you’re not a gamer and you don’t have a lot of music/videos to put on it you should be fine.. As angelee said it basically just sounds like a good computer for surfing the internet; or as a student typing up papers, doing research etc…
