I say pop….soda is just I don’t know it reminds me of soap.

Where I grew up (Michigan) we said pop. Where I live now (Texas) we say soda. It’s a regional thing.

When I’m not thinking… I will say “coke”… referring to any carbonated beverage. If I am being mindful of my environment… I will say “soft drink.”
