Shouldn't the army have already taken care of this?

So my daughters father just went into the army he is in basic right now an were not together, he had to sign her over to me cause you can’t be a single parent in the army. Well he calls me at 7 in the morning the day after he leaves telling me to send MY copy of my daughters original birth certificate and social security card!!! So they wanted me to pay 15 bucks for a copy for him and send the card with him that he will probably lose and I will have to pay and wait for a new one.. So that was the first thing the army waited til last minute to do. Then I get a call this morning that I have to go to the court house an get something signed by a Judge or the army won’t take it out of his check and I won’t get paid.. Since when is it my responsibility to take care of all this stuff!! Shouldn’t th army have did all the stuff. Plus to top it all off I’m not liking having to run my pregnant but around and do all these favors for his piece of crap self. Just to get child support for the first time in 2 yEars cause he won’t pay…

My guess is that HE is the one who waited till the last minute Probably no surprise to you since it doesn’t sound like he is your favorite person right now (or for a while). It’s a pain, but try to think of it as something that you are doing for your daughter, so that she will be getting the support she should have been getting all these years. The Army will make sure she gets part of his paycheck as long as he is in.

To you and your daughter (and her on-the-way sibling). Good Luck!!

why would it be up the army to do all this stuff??? all this stuff would have to be your daughters fathers job
