Shaving tips

How can you prevent razor bumps down there? And is there any shaving technique to use to help with the regrowth? I want to stay smoother longer. I am waxing soon, just till then I need an option.

Answer #1

your not suppose to shave opposite to growth you are suppose to shave in the direction of how the hair grows -less irritation

Answer #2

You don’t get a smooth shave that way - I have been shaving opposite of the growth for over 10 years. I’ve never had any problems as long as I used baby oil and bikini zone.

Answer #3

Some people do have problems with shaving in the opposite direction. If you are shaving in the opposite direction and do get razor bumps (I get ingrown hairs if I do it like that), rather try shaving in the direction the hair grows. Also what really helps to prevent razor bumps is to shave using plain aqueous cream instead of a shaving cream.

Also if you have very sensitive skin try staying away from perfumed products they can really aggravate your skin.

Answer #4

To get a smooth shave:

-Shave while in the shower, the water helps prevent any irritation while shaving. Make sure the water is hitting the area you are shaving. -Shave in the opposite direction of the hair growth. -Use baby oil or baby oil gel - instead of shaving cream. It leaves you smoother and softer afterwards and makes it way easier and more comfortbale to shave. -After you shave, you should use a product like “Bikini Zone”, it’s made to put on the area after you shave to prevent shave bumps and irretation. I use it and I love it.

Nothing can make it last longer though. Only waxing.
