Sex and pregnancy?

That’s not really your period if it’s during a pregnancy. That is a complication with her pregnancy. The purpose of the female body releasing menses is to release the egg. If the egg is gone then there is no possibility of pregnancy.

Ok. I just have to say for those of you girls who say “if you have your period you can’t be pregnant” you really don’t know what you’re talking about…

My mom had her period for FIVE MONTHS while pregnant with me… so you just never know…

briand88 is right. It is physically impossible to have your period (menses) while pregnant.

You can however bleed for OTHER reasons which many women mistake for a period. Especially in an early pregnancy.

Your period is caused by the uterine lining shedding when no fertilized egg has implanted. During pregnancy, the uterine lining plays a very important role in developing the fetus and keeping it healthy(and thus doesn’t shed!)

It is possible that you may be pregnant. To know for sure, it’s best to take a pregnancy test.

Yeeep. There’s no “Safe” time of the month to have sex, only times of the month that it is more or less likely to become pregnant.

Sperm can live in the female body for the better part of a week, and the egg stay viable for up to four days, so there’s a pretty good overlap there.

As for having your period late, it makes it pretty unlikely, but still remotely possible that someone is pregnant. I wouldn’t worry, but if you’re still concerned, get yourself a test.

Yes you can get pregnant at any time doing your cycle and even while you are on your period.

This happened to me just this week, I had sex right before my periods were due, and I was 2 weeks late, I was so scared and I cried so much, as I was showing signs of pregnancy =/ but thankfully my periods started =D what a relief I must say
