Are Seventh Day Adventists allowed to be touched by males?

I honestly never heard this being a Seventh Day Adventists thing. I know a few Seventh Day Adventists who have no problem with being touched by males. However, a person in one of my classes claims she can not receive a massage from a male because of her religion - she claims to be Seventh Day Adventists(yet she can give a massage to a male). It just seemed off to me. I asked a few of my friends who are & they’ve not heard of this(being of their religious practice) either. I searched the web on nearly a dozen sites(and still going) and nothing of this was mentioned. Though to be sure I get the facts I figured I’ld post a question here to other Seventh Day Adventists views.

I’d say that girl is just nervous to be touched by a guy, and is using her religion to hide behind. I think if all the other 7th Day Advantists people you know say it’s not true, and the web says nothing about it, then it’s probably not true :) Happy Findings!!!

I’m a seventh day adventist… I have no problems by being touched by males. I agree with Madilyn. She’s probably just nervous and uses her religion to hide it. I know some really christian people who believe in Sex after marriage etc. And they are a bit iffish about Being touched By males and stuff, so i guess some are just different about it. Not too sure.
