Set me free

I am seventeen years old. I am from new york. I live with both of my parents and three younger siblings. I am very stressed in this home. I want to go live with my grandmother because I know it will be better for me. My parents are always working and they leave me here to watch their kids everyday. I have no time to actually live my life. I dont do very well in school either because of this. My parents used to abuse when I complained about the situation and how it makes me want to end my life. I went to the police but they were no help for me. My parents do not do anything for me I get clothes and money from friends. I dont get to go anywhere. I dont want to run away or kill myself but they refuse to let me live with anyone else because they need me to watch their kids. Please tell me that there is something you can do. Can I be emancipated?

At the age of 17 thats too young to be that stress you have a whole life ahead of you…yeah it is wrong for your parents to abuse you and not to give you anything…but you have to understand that there is young girls thats going 10 times worst then you are going through…its sad to hear that this is making you do bad in school and affecting your life…and looking through ya pictures , you a beautiful girl you shouldn’t be thinking about ending your life…life is f*ck up, you just have to get through it

YES there is things you can do

you can request by a court of law to go live with another relative

OF COURSE you can be Emancipation

you have to be 16 years and older

but there is rules and conditions before you can get Emancipation

I hope everything works out…you can email me if you want

well I’ve been there, and hold on its not the end of the world and trust me there will be college life and you will have your fun, and about the kids they are your siblings from your own blood do you want them to end up like you?, you must care about others so others can care about you and about the money if you can manage a job in coiffer salon or a diner, beside you dont have to ask money from them anymore.also living with your grandmother is good idea ,if you can just go dont look back but try to make your money b because she is old and she needs somehelp from u.try to find your goal I hope you move on sweety god bless you.

Answer #3
