Schools closing - swine flu

Ok so as everyone knows the swine flu deal. Well they are closing down schools (as we all know). However, the board said they are doing it to prevent the flu and that kids are not out to go to the mall and places, they are to stay inside. now seriously, are they that ignorant/stupid?!?!?! Do they really think kids are going to stay in, especially if they have their own car?!?!? I thought it was a stupid statement. I mean I get why they are closing down but to demand kids (that isn even theirs) to stay inside and do nothing?!? It travels so they can catch it at home the same they can outside. What do you think about the statement??

I think they might as well not cancle school if everyone is just going to go to other public places like the mall were they catch it. If someone who has it is in the mall they can give it to someone else. That’s why they’re closing the school, if someone has it at school then other’s can catch it. I think the statement was far, but as far as people actually following it. I don’t see that happening.

Im not sayin not to take what they said. I mean did I say that no! I just think its stupid that they act so shocked that kids went outside.

If the swine flu is in your area and spreading fast enough for a public school to close, you’d be an idiot not to take the district’s advice.

I’m sure it is more of a “suggestion” than a “demand”…Did they said they’d be policing the malls, and other places where young people hang out…and dragging them back home? I don’t think so.

They’re counting on YOUR good sense, to stay out of crowded places…which, by the way, is HOW the flu is spread…person to person…if no one in your home has it, you aren’t going to catch it…

thats what I was saying, it was an VERY far statement to make. and they why they said it, didnt sound much of an suggestion. their not counting on me b/c im not in school, so they dont have to count on my judgements, I just think it was a very stupid thing to say. and no body isn going to be lonely at the mall either. I mean look outside, people are everywhere!!!
