School , Going into year 10

ok after the summer im going into year 10 at school and im really worried what class I will be in , are gcses hard ! and did you feel like this ?

Some of it will be hard and some won’t as you will just find you have a natural talent and flair for learning some things, but not others. The important thing is that you study subjects that you enjoy (so make the most of the opportunity to change classes if you don’t like what you are doing) as you will find it easier to learn if you are not bored and resenting what you are doing.

My best advice (and something I probably did not do as well) is to make sure you stay on top of your workload. File your notes away as you make them and make sure you ask about, or go over, things you find you do not understand as well. Make a note of coursework deadlines as soon as you know them as well, and find out how the marking for your subjects works (how much percent of your grade comes from the exam, and how much coursework).

Many people go through these exams every year just fine, as long as you try your best and stay on top of what you do then you will do great :) once they are over you will wonder what you were worried about- my friend did them this year and has already forgotten all about them. Good luck.

hey :) I’ve just left year 11 and have finished my GCSE’s. there not hard aslong as you make sure your coursework is in on time and you study. Oh and pay attention at the start of yr 10 unlike me otherwise you when you end up getting tested on things you done in year 10 you havent got a clue. another top tip is to take all the resits you are offered its better not to risk your grade :) good luck x
