How to be romantic over the phone?

Okay so my girlfriend is out of town for a couple of months and I just got off the phone with her, and it went terribly. She was hoping for me to say some sweet things to her, and while I love her more than anything I have a problem of not being able to express it in words. What should I say to her next time? Nothing super cheesy, i’ve done those, and they only work the first few times ya know.

Thanks!

this is found on http://funadvice.com/r/3k000i5a7f “Hi, I’m Donna Barnes, life and relationship coach here in New York City, and the author of It’s All About You. To be romantic on the phone, first off, make sure that they have your undivided attention. If the other line beeps through, don’t answer it, ignore it, and do not have conversations with other people while you’re talking on the phone. It’s rude, to start with, but it’s definitely not romantic. You want to try to create that feeling that they could crawl through the phone and be right there with you. So pillow talk is kind of fun, and I think you can say things on the phone that…you know, things like, “What are you wearing?” and things to get their imagination going and really wanting to be there right with you. And if you really have a good imagination, you can feel like you’re right there with each other. You know, try not to…don’t complain about things, don’t bring up any kind of heavy topics. You really just want to keep it light. The phone is about reconnecting and really being able to spend some time with each other when you’re not physically in each other’s company. So really just try to, you know, talk in a soft voice. Don’t yell, don’t be loud. Just really make them want to be with you.”
