How much does an RN make yearly?

How much on average, does a registered nurse make a year?

Answer #1

I’m a new grad and I started out at $17.30/hr, but I work nights and we are paid an additional $4/hr shift diff. Then if I work weekends I get another $4/hr. I hope this helps you.

Answer #2

The figure I found was in 53,600 in 2005.

Actual wages vary a great deal. Nurses with certain specailties make more money than others. Nurses make more money when they work nights and more on holidays.

I live in Florida so the pay from state to state fluctuates. An LPN makes roughly $17-19/hr. depending if they work in a hospital, hospice, etc. An RN makes around $35/hr. depending on where they work. RN’s who specialize in other area’s get paid more. I’m not sure how much more because it can vary.Either way, its worth the time and effort and its also a recession proof job…Good Luck and keep reaching for your dreams.
