restore computer

I got a dell dimension 8200 and I want to erase everything from the hard drive to start over new but I dont know how and I dont have the restore disk please help

You need to reformat. All you need is your original Operating System disc- the XP or Vista CD that came with your computer. Just boot from the CD, and there will be an option or reinstall Windows, which also completely wipes and reformats your hard drive.
