Are relays used in L.C.D TV's?

Answer #1

sure

Answer #2

Not really. In the broadest sense every transistor could be considered a relay since it functions as an electrically operated switch. What most people think of as relays are electromagnetic mechanical switches. I’m not aware of any need for or use of mechanical relays in modern TVs though no doubt some Electrical Engineer somewhere will use one just to prove me wrong. Relay can also refer to a signal relay. For example, a cable provider might receive a program and relay it to customers, usually on a different frequency. If someone talks about a TV relay this may be what they are referring to.
