Why am I getting random text massages from emails?

I got one on thanksgiving wishing me a good one. And know I got one wishing me Happy Birthday, and it’s not my birthday. I replied to ask who was it, but there was no answer, and the email is form nowone I know. Any ideas of what it could be?

you gave out your number to random people that can text and email?

Depending on your carrier, you can block those by either from your phone or your carriers web site
