Random music thought

I graduated high school in 2005 and I decided to grab some old cd’s and mixes I made from the early-mid 2000’s. it may not be really long ago but it feels like it for me. after playing a bunch of them I realized how they really made me reminisce. I dont wanna come off all lame or whatever but I feel like so many songs made between ‘01-‘05 had a lot of good melody and quality to them. I know im biased for having been in high school then but in a completely objective way a lot of the music really seems consistently good and like I said, melodic. am I alone in this thought? I know its random and maybe not explained well, but I played about 15-20 songs that were hits then, then I played about 15-20 made between 06/07 and now and felt a big difference

Everyone is the most fond of the music they listened to during the times that were the most fun, exciting, rewarding, etc and for a lot of people that’s the music they listened to in high school. It brings back memories of good times with great friends, before the stress of everyday adult life. I couldn’t disagree more with the quality of the music in the 2000’s, I think most music from 2000 on has been pretty terrible. I’m more into 90’s rock and alternative/grunge. That’s the music I listened to in high school, btw. It’s all directly related to your generation and personal tastes. Listen to whatever you like!
