can taking the depo shot keep mi gurl from havin kids in the future? mi chick friend said that it messes up ur reproductive system and causes a girl not to be able to have kids..is this true?

Most women who are on Depo are able to have children in the future. However, it may take up to 18 months for a woman to become fertile again after she stops taking the shot.

The Depo shot does have many serious side effects though, some of which are irreversible. The FDA does not recommend the shot for teens or young women. The shot also should not be taken by anyone for longer than two years unless the woman cannot use any other method of birth control for some reason.
