How do I protect my e-mail from spam?

I keep getting random messages from like cell phone companies, or something about vacation getaways, colleges, and etc, just random stuff like this. How can I prevent this?

What is your email service provider? each one of them has different ways to block spam. Also, it may be too late to prevent it, now that it is already being sent, but for the future. If you sign up to different websites or buy stuff online, you’re going to get spam. I have two different addresses. One I use for my mail, and the other I use for everything else. When I’m buying stuff, when companies want my email address, when I’m signing up for different websites, etc, I just use my other address.

Oh, I get it. I was wondering where it was coming from, the mail was just really random. Of course deleting them isn’t really a hassle, just wanted to know a way haha.
