How can I prevent breakage and split ends?

Okay so I was just combing my hair, like any other night , and I notices the amount of breakage seemed ridiculous. Im trying to grow out my hair but this is extremely difficult if my hair continues to break the way it is. I’ve been taking measure in attempt to prevent splitage but it doesn’t seem to be working. I comb my hair from the end to the top, I usually use a wide toothed comb (I seemed to have misplaced that though :/) and I condition everytime I wash and use leave in conditioner and heat protectant. Those are the int products I use on my hair . Any tips or advice on what I could do to prevent this from happening to me would be greatly appreciated. Thanks :)

Well first off you need to cut all the split ends off to start fresh, I know it’s no fun but you’ll never have healthy hair if you dont do this.

After you do, do weekly oil treatments. You just take coconut oil or olive oil or avocado oil and put it on the ends of your hair at night then put your hair in a bun on the top of your head then wash it out in the morning. This makes a HUGE difference in hair health.

Never brush hair when it’s wet EVER.

Put conditioner on the ends of hair then wash only the scalp with shampoo then put conditioner on again after you wash out shampoo.

When you sleep braid hair or put it up so it wont get thrashed while you sleep.

Whenever you blow dry or straighten hair make sure to use protective heat serum so it does the littlest amount of damage possible.

I have hair down to my butt almost and follow all these steps have kept my hair healthy and I only need hair trimmed once a year if even :)
