Can I be pregnant and how do I find out?

okay I got my period on the 10th june and it stopped on the 14th. and I had unprotected s## on the 20th june my boyfriend said he doesnt know if he came in me or not he thinks he did!!could I be pregnant?? was it at my most fertile time?? and sperm can live in you up 2 5 days isnt it?? so I would have been ovulating on the 24th and the sperm could have fertilised my egg still couldnt it?? and when do I take a test?? please answer all if you can.thanks xx

Yes, you certainly could be pregnant. Any time you have intercourse, the possibility of pregnancy is there. If you are not using protection (the pull out method doesn’t really count), then obviously, your chances of getting pregnant will be even greater.

Women can get pregnant anytime of the month, before, during, and after their period. If you have a typical 28 day cycle, then you’re right that you should have been ovulating on or around the 24th. Keep in mind that not all women ovulate like clockwork, however. That’s why some women get pregnant even during their period.

You’re also right that sperm can live up to five days in the female’s body.

Many pregnancy tests say you can use them as early as the first day of your missed period. If you test negative then and still don’t have a period a week later, you can test again.
