Which do you prefer Tully's or Starbucks?

I personally prefer Tully’s not because i like what they offer more than Starbucks is just that they support the American troops when Starbuck’s denied giving them any support and with most my family either serving the military or being a veteran i dont want to support a place who doesnt care about the people who protect my country.

We only have Starbucks where I am, in NZ. It’s alright but the coffee is really weak. Everyone makes a huge deal about Starbucks cause it’s supposedly ‘trendy’ but I don’t like it at all.

…. I’ve never had either despite having 2 Starbucks’ here I prefure Tim Horton’s. Starbucks is too expensive.

Starbucks is the only one of the two I’ve ever known and I was raised with and around it so therefore I would say Starbucks :) On a side note, I believe my mom makes some of the best hot coffee (and maybe some other things) around but I think I would still prefer Starbucks over coffee … Lol.

I have never heard of Tully’s. But I don’t drink Starbucks often. Too expensive. I prefer local coffee shops.

Starbucks is nothing special. All they really do is roast their coffee darker than most other chains. In the US coffee drinkers tend to associate dark coffee with higher quality. There are some high quality dark coffees like Peets but simply roasting coffee darker doesn’t make it higher quality. It is hard to beat a high quality medium roast 100% Colombian brew or a light roast Kona or Kona blend. Both of these coffees have subtitles completely lost when burnt. I’ve ordered Tully’s coffee for my K-cup home coffee maker and found it to be very good; I didn’t even know they had storefronts until this question. I’d have to vote for Tully’s.
