Do I have porphyria?

Popphyria is also known as ‘vampire disease’ and I think I have it. I am more than quite pale, I get told I look almost dead. The sun has recently been giving me big headaches and hurting my eyes without even looking into the sun, which causes me to sit in the dark most of the time. I also think blood tastes very nice and so I drink it… Does all this mean I have porphyria?

I think you have been reading too many Twilight books… Porphyria is a very rare disease (pretty sure it’s genetic) in which a certain part of something in your blood isn’t made properly. If you had it, your skin would be scarred and scabby, you might have severe pains in your kidneys and abdomen, and your skin would break out into rash in the sun - so you wouldn’t look pale. You would probably have pain in your muscles too.

Porphyria can only be diagnosed by doctors, so maybe you should book an appointment.

Drinking blood has nothing to do with the disease.

That is weird because i break out in a rash when i get in the sun :O

HAHAHAHA OMG…wat have u been readin ??porphyrias present with seizures abdominal pain and photosensitivity.that is u get red rashes wen u go out in the sun.also it is mostly intermittent.u wont be havin symptoms all the time and its called vampire disease because ppl avoid goin out in the sun..get it.nothin to do wid drinkin blood
