Pokemon Ranger Shadows Of Almia, Help?

ok so, before I start playing, I want to seek for missions!! here’s what I did:

I chose ranger net of course I clicked Nintendo WFC settings>>> then I got two options one says (nintendo wi-fi connection settings) and the other one says (options)
I chose nintendo wi-fi connection settings… 3)connection “1” >>> search for an access point>>> it found our router >>> but when it tested the connection, it didn’t work, dunno why even though I entered the SSID, WEP key, IP address, subnet mask, gateway, and the primary DNS!!! after all that>>> I touched “test connection” again >>> Testing Connection… (a couple of seconds passed) … >>> No access point in range. please try again.

why isn’t it working??

It could be a router issue - I know our router sometimes gives out and we have to restart it, try doing that and see what happens.
