pointing considered rude ?

My mum always says that when you point it can take the person next to you’s eye out.

Yes, pointing is considered rude and impolite. Why? I dont know for sure, it is just bad, dont know the reason, but I think its rude, cause when you point at someone, and that someone see that, how would it make him feel?? like, “uhh whats wrong with me” its just going to be weird, like your gossipping him… Thats what I think … it is just rude (I dont point afcourse)

Because people with insecurities think of the worst thing possible that you could be pointing out. I point. People can get over it.

Pssshhh… If someone actually had the nerve to attempt to humiliate me in public (scold) I would stop them in their tracks and put them in their place. Stand up for yourself. Don’t let anyone think they have power over you as if you’re a child whom needs to be scolded.

well I hardly ever point but I was with my friend and I saw this fine guy and I pointed at him and my friend basically scolded me and I was like woa hmm why is it rude :) thanks for the answers
