Poetry competitions

Ok ALL of my literature teachers wanted me to compete in some Georgia poetry competition this year. They told me that I was ready for it, but I didn’t do it because I felt like I wasn’t ready for it at the time. Poety is really my life. Each time I write a poem for my class my teacher goes crazy showing it to all the other teachers. hehe Do you think I should try to compete in it next year? Plus next year is my last year in high school.

Answer #1

yes bloodyrose, I think you should go for it, try and block it out of your mind that its for a competition though,as it has to be natural and with no pressure, remember also that other people can see our potential even when we fail to, folks used to marvel at my artwork and urged me to do it for a living, but I just could’nt see it, and if its your your passion to write poetry your teachers may be the best ones to give you a step up the ladder. This has to be something you want to do, and if that’s the case I definitely think you should go for it. I mean, what do you have to lose? It’s worth a shot for sure.

Answer #4
