No don’t just blow it off, not a good idea especially in high school.

Do something like a funny scary story, usually if you can make the teacher laugh, they’ll give you more points!

Dracula’s a good terror story. Base it on vampires, death, haunted houses, the usual crap. and do your revision at home, and your homework in the school library or something… or just don’t do it and say it was too much. I’m sure they’ll let you off
