Should I get all my piercings at once or do them all at separate times?

I am planning on getting three more piercings on my left ear and 4 or 5 on my right ear. Someone told me to just get it all done at once. Do you usually get it all done at once or one at a time? Which is better, or does it no matter?

I would say it depends on your pain threshold. If you can take a lot of pain at once, then it shouldn’t be a problem. However, if you can’t… I would suggest only getting one or two at a time. Especially with cartilage piercings.

Cartilage piercings hurt a bit more, and take a bit longer to heal. It wouldn’t be easy having multiple cartilage piercings healing at the same time. Not only would it be more painful, but it would be more to keep up with.

Personally, I would get them done one or two at a time.

I have my ear lobes pierced and my cartilages. I got my ear lobes done at the same time. I also got my cartilages done at the same time. Not the same day as my ear lobes, however.

I would get them all done at once if I were you. That way it will be over with and done, and you don’t have to worry about going back to the piercer multiple times.(:

I’d probably wait between each one. If one got infected (which is more than likely to happen) the infection could spread and really ruin your ear for a while, not to mention waste your money. If you get them done separately, when they get infected it will be easy to treat without worrying about them all. You should ask the piercer if he/she can do you a special deal if you get them all done at that piercing shop. If you are getting 7 or 8 piercings, he might want to give you one free to make you come back to his shop. Just a suggestion. If you aren’t cheeky and ask, you don’t get! Haha

Personally I would say different times. I have 13 piercings, I have had 16 in my entire lifetime. I am quite the addict. They take time to heal, and certian ones become annoying when healing, Cartilage piercings seem to take forever and get on your nerves waiting so long, Lip rings swell on and off for weeks, tongue rings make it impossible to eat for the first 2 days, and a week after that you have to wash your mouth out consistantly after eating so you dont enjoyy any food anyways. Nose rings dont really hurt unless you sleep on them, then they are sore. Surface piercings (including bellybutton and eyebrow) take a lot of precuation because if they are too irritated, bumped or snagged on any clothing they can migrate, causing ugly scars. Nipple rings are a pain because you cant wear a bra or restricted clothing, so you have to time it out in your life according to when you dont have to work or go out and can stick around the house topless or in a large tee for a few days. Piercings are like babies, if you dont take care of them when they are new they end up bad.

Answer #5

You shouldn’t do them all at once. You should pick out your favorite two and get them done first because they are hard to keep clean and from being infected. So, you need to keep up with them and trust me, it’s hard to keep up with them all.

Answer #6

It depends on where your getting them done if they are going to be spread out, say like eyebrow, tounge, cheek and lip then I’m sure that would be fine. But be careful if you get to piercings and the same general area. Say like a spider bite, do one at a time because when they swell it hurts alot and you’ll end up having to take them out.. I made that mistake once..
