That’s easy… DON’T DO IT YOURSELF! Duh! You should ALWAYS get your piercings done PROFESSIONALLY. It’s well worth the cost because you know it’s done right. Be sure to go to a good professional, then take care of it how your supposed to afterwards and you’ll be fine. NEVER do it yourself though, that’s plain stupid and unsafe.

my friend did it herself, it was infected (Badly) so she can’t wear it anymore, and it’s scarring pretty badly. so sorry for her. but she has to live with that scar for like ever now. :( it’s extremely noticable.

Don’t do it yourself. As mandyloo said, it’s not a good idea. Last person that came to me with home done piercings was a BAD case. Used the wrong type of jewelry and it started rejecting out of her lip. She didn’t take care of it, and wound up having to get the jewelry surgically removed from her lower lip. You DON’T want to be in that place. Hospital bills are a LOT pricier than getting it done right.

Well of course their is veins - there are veins all in your body. Although hitting a small vein will only make you bleed a tiny bit.

You really should go to a professional. 50 percent of piercings that are done at home get infected, are put in crooked, or are done wrong. I have seen so many people come into our shop with HORRIBLE looking piercings or one’s that were severly infected and they had to go the hospital. It’s not worth it.

THATS GONNA HURT. DO YOU HAVE A PIERCING NEEDLE. YOULL BE OK DOING IT BUT BE REALLY CAREFUL AND ICE FIRST AND SANITIZE USE NEW JEWLRY AND REALLY RECONSIDER going TO A PIERCING PARLOR. IT DOESNT COST THAT MUCH AND ITS WELL WORTH THE RISK OF NOT DOING IT YOUR SELF. .. GOOD LUCK

Jeez why do kids keep tryin to pierce themselves at home?! It’s just stupid! The answer to your question is simple, if you’re not smart enough to know that piercing your own lip without being a professional piercer isn’t gonna end up good, you’re not smart enough to have one!
