Well it all depends on what kind of photo shoot you’re asking about. Wedding pictures packages you’re talking about $500&up. If you just want to get professional photos of yourself or a kid done you’re paying for the packages. They can be really cheap into the hundreds of dollars area. What kind are you looking for I can find a price range for you.

If you are referring to a modelling photo shoot for your portfolio, then that would depend on where you live. In New York, agents send models out to see photographers. The photographers need shots for their portfolios and the models need shots for theirs. It’s a win, win situation as in everyone gets what they need and no one has to pay for it (color lab costs do apply sometimes). In a lot of cases, the photographer will know a make-up artist and stylist and they too will need pictures. You see, portfolios need to be constantly updated until you are working completely full time. In order to get there, you need to invest time. There are a lot of “photographers” that take advantage of hopeful models, charging outrageous sums of money for shots that aren’t that great to begin with. Good luck and I hope this helps you.
