can a person major in theater and make a career out of it?

yeah. Some schools have drama majors and some have Theater. You could be the next great play-write or live actor. With the advent of the TV and the Silver screen some argue that theater is a dying art. Yet live theater is a totally different experience. You can hear the words coming right out of the actors mouth. You can see him fall and really hit that stage there are no camera tricks of VFX. Yes technology is used in the dramatic arts and there is nothing wrong with that. But we need passionate people to keep live theater… alive!

so even though it’s competing against others for a role or whatever, in your opinion do you think it would be worth it to try it? and can a person make a living from it?

well your not gunna make millions of dollars, i wouldn’t expect you to. but yes you can make it a living. follow your heart.

Yes but its sorta difficult because not many people actually get really far with acting.

Absolutely!!!! there are a lot of UC’s that offer theater you can be more specific when you do if you do.
