Answer #1

I think we all feel sorry for ourselves at times. Life can be hard and bad stuff happens to good people. I think everyone is allowed a little sef pity, it just cant get carried away. After a day or two you gotta put in behind you and move on.

Answer #2

Depends on the situation! The harder the situation is the longer people tend to self - pity! There is no time table for self pity… No it isnt fun, but it is reality & cant always be stopped like a light switch.
Its like when someone gets hurt not a physical pain but an emotional pain & that takes time to heal…in that time we tend to get carried away & dwell a bit longer. Sad but true. :(

Answer #3

When we feel others are not showing pity to us, we tend to self-pity.

Answer #4

I think people self-pity cause if we put other people on our shoes, meaning, thinking other people is experiencing what we’re experiencing, we would pity them. And also, we think that whatever we’re going through is something we wont overcome. It’s pretty common actually, especially when we think nobody cares for us, or we want other people to pity us.

Answer #5

because most people feel that they dont deserve bad things that they go through. and most people dont but some do. self pity anyways is better then thinking you DO deserve bad things when some of the things that happen you really dont.

Answer #6

because sometimes you feel you have done too much for some one or people around you but still they choose to walk away and never remember what u have done for them …then you begin to self pity and ask your self WHY IS THAT?
