How many people have tried cutting their own hair?

I cut my own hair, but im a guy and i just do the military cut so its pretty easy. But a girl i dont know i think that would be pretty hard, and trust youll be so mad if it comes out bad you cant add hair.

I cut my own hair on new years eve & it came out beautiful LoL… & I didn’t know what I was doing so I guess it was luck that was with me …

ive done it and it wasnt good but it wasnt bad there werent any noticable mistakes

I’ve been cutting my hair myself fort 2 years, roughly. Before then, I refused to ever cut it and it was down to my waist. But i hated it. And when I tried to aim for a certain hair style, the hair dresser totally messed my hair up. It was still pretty long, but I hated it. So I took a pair of scissors and started layering it. I’ve never had any experience, so I guess I was just lucky with the way it came out. Lolol. But I would cut it every day..and layer it more everyday.. so it got to the point where it wasn’t even down to my shoulders. It didn’t look bad though. c: Now I’m letting it grow out. I actually really like the way my hair turned out. I still trim it my self, and dye it and all that good stuff. But I do regret cutting it so short. D;

Haha, yesss. I cut my friends hair. I love it. A friend offered me a job at his barber shop when I get into College ;D

I have, I gave myself bangs once. My one suggestion is to not to try to do soemthing too different first time you try it in case you mess up, also don’t cut too much in case you mess up. I never messed up my hair though. I actually liked it very much, but I just found that bangs don’t suit me.

that is sooooo cool. what kinfa degree do u need to get to get into that profession anyway? iv been thinking about doing that too cuz i cut my own hair and my freinds hair too. thats soooo cool that u wanna do that too.

I cut my own hair most of the time, and I’m a girl and it turns out fine All that I do is put my hair in 2 braids and then I cut a chunk of each braid, it makes it be even all the time. I guess you just do it better as you keep doing it, the first time I did it, it turned out horrable, but I learned, and know, its like I’m a pro and it costs me no money.

A) Using regular scissors will completely screw up your hair. B) It’s impossible to do your own haircuts, haircuts have sectioning patterns and angles that are impossible to do on yourself. C) Why… just why would you attempt to cut your own hair???

I did it…it wasn’t too bad…but i was sorry i did it sometimes…you should just get it done by a professional.

I do it ll the time. I don’t let other people tuch my hair. I always think they will mess it up.
