Do U.S. passports expire, and how much are they?

I’ve always wanted to travel outside of the country so I figure the first step is getting a passport.

Yes they do expire. every 10 years for adults and 5 for children i believe. for adults 16+ its 165.00 for the passport book and card. Or 135.00 for just the passport.

For minors its 120.00 for the passport and card. Just the book its 105.00

Each time you travel you must add a new card its additional fees

The passport book is just the book without the card. the cards are what you will need for each country you visit.

They take a while to get. A lot of information and documentation is required in order to obtain one. You can go to a website and there will be a checklist of what you will need to send in. You also have to find a place that takes passport photos and send one of those in, as well. For adults they expire in 10 years and usually cost around $200.
