it really shouldn’t be about the money. brithdays are supposed to be occasions that make you feel SPECIAL…

on my birthday, I don’t care about millions of people around me, I care about the people being around me caring about me!

in other words, the most priceless gift a parent can give their child, is their time. it took me a while to learn, but I could chuck every toy, console and everything at my kids, but the thing they enjoyed most, was ME sitting there with them playing a game…

if you feel guilty about your mum and dad spending money, just say to your mum that having her undivided attention for the day would mean more…

and as for friends, I don’t quantity matters over quality…honestly, as you get older you’ll realise you have ‘less’ friends, but they are TRUE friends, ones that are there to support you through the nitty gritty…

just chill, honest! I value someone taking the time on ME above any gift or extravagant and empty gesture

xx happy birthday :)

Why dont you just go out to dinner and when your parents arent short on money they might make it up to you. just have a good time without the material things in life until then. =]
