Between you and your partner, how is the labour of taking care of your children

divided? Who brings them to school? Takes them to the doctor’s? Pack lunches, make dinners? Bathes? Etc.

Answer #1

I take the brunt of the work but he is the one who’s out roofing for week on end out of town.

Answer #2

I work full time and my wife part time so she does more than I do but I still help. I get up early and make my daughter’s breakfast and pack her lunch and my wife drives her to school and back. Whenever I have a day off I drive my daughter to school to give my wife a break. My wife almost always takes our daughter to the doctor but when I’m not working I go too. My wife and I do about the same amount of cooking. My wife does all of the laundry but I do some of the hanging, folding, and putting away. I do most of the yard work and house maintenance.
