I have heard that the falkland islands belongs to england, but i think these islands are closer to argentina than england. What do you think? Tell me please thank you.

Answer #1

The UK the Falkland Islands are self-governing British Overseas Territory the UK is responsible for their defence. Just because they’re about 300 miles east of the coast of South America doesn’t make it under the government of Argentina and under the British Nationality Act of 1983 people born on the Falkland Islands are British Citizens well the majority of people living there are of British descent. They use their version of the Pound Sterling for currency too. Argentina have wanted to claim the islands as their own but the UK support the people living there and the majority of people living there want to remain British Citizens.
