Over weight kids

How do I get my daughter to lose weight in a safe way?

Answer #1

exercise with her while listening to music show them that it can be fun,or dance to music is a good exercise, cut off of junkfood, eat more vegitables.. hope I helped!

Answer #2

Well there are a lot of good ways to do it . Insted of buying junk food buy fruits and vegetables. Insted of letting her sit in front of the t.v all day go out side and play with her or get her to play in the back yard. Maybe only give her an hour or two of t.v time because there is no reason kids should be infront of that thing longer then that. Get her signed up in sports and organized out door activitys. Yours truly, Demika Ray

Answer #3

instead of soda give her green tea, its said to help people lose weight, its good for you and it tastes good too. win win situation =) get rid of the junk food, give her foods that have a low glycemic index because they will stay in your system longer and will reduce your hunger. dont give her juices like apple or orange, they are loaded with sugar, have her eat the actual fruit instead and exercise is also very important! 60 minutes a day is average time she should be exercising.

Answer #4

actually I think that taking away things slowly is the best way like soda chips oily stuff and try to switch it with more fruits and vegetables and tell her to eat only half of whut she would eat or taking on a sport or just excercise couple times a week and I am pretty sure she is great the way she is like it might just be baby fat after she grows she’ll be great like I was…

Answer #5

Put her on a very healthy diet, with no junk foods whatsoever. Try to keep any bad foods, including soda, chips, cookies, etc, out of the house. Make her drink bottled water instead of other unhealthy drinks. Have her join some sort of sports team or gym to lose the weight and instead tone her body. Well, good luck :)

Answer #6

Well, The Safe Way That I Know Is To Stop All Junk Food In The House And Exercize Don’t Over Push Her Just Go For A Walk Every Day And Don’t Let Her Over Eat.

Answer #7

You need to assess first your child’s eating habits and lifestyle. You need to know the problem areas, so you can resolved it. Try also making a change in your family meals or diet, if this is the problem. Gave her more nutritious and healthy foods instead of junk foods. Encourage her to play, and exercise. You can also accompany her in jogging or in riding a bicycle, so she can have some activities.

Monitor her weight regularly, and check the progress. Make it a reward system. Like if she lose weight, give her some rewards to reinforce the behavior.
