One time felon seeking tractor trailer job?

Instead of looking for over the road jobs, or the big LTL carriers…maybe try applying to a smaller LTL company…There’s small companies all over who interline with the big carriers for P & D…They are way more forgiving of “blips” in their driver’s past (not DUI’s, tho)…and they are more desparate for Class “A” drivers. I know they don’t pay as well, but we’re not talking “for the rest of your life”…we’re talking getting a foothold in the industry…once you’ve “proven” yourself, with no trouble…no tickets…etc, you’ll be able to be more picky about where you want to go, and what you want to do…

Honest…I worked for a Freight Co. for 12 years…when they closed the terminal in our town, I had 8 calls to come to work at competing companies, without ever putting an application in anywhere…the “grapevine” in the trucking industry is better than the telephone.
