It varies completely and not always just top and bottom…like in doggy style, v-position, and even standing up is a personal favorite.

it really all depends on the girl. some like to switch it up and some like bottom best or just top best. usually for most girls at first they feel most comfortable on bottom with the guy performing and once they get comfortable around the guy move to the top
