Old movie about a female healer

There was a movie in the late 1960’s or 70’s about a woman who could heal a person by taking an illness into her body then dispersing it. The last illness she takes in causes physical distortion and I think eventually kills her. Her healing takes place in a hut/room located near the beach or in the country.

Found it. The name of the movie is “Resurrection” starring Ellen Burstyn released in 1980. Thanks for your help!

Thanks rero92, but I am familiar with the Green Mile and that is not it. This movie is older.

no idea… but you might want to research THE GREEN MILE as it has the same concept, however it was with a male healer.
