Would the noise from a standard PC wake up someone in the room next to you?

it really depends on how light or non light of a sleeper that someone in the next room is :)

well ive got 6 fans in my pc…

1 120mm, 2 92mm rear, well the 1 92mm is a top exhaust and 2 120mm on cpu cooler and 1 120mm intake and ive just turned them up full and closed my living room door and i couldnt hear anything from my bedroom, bog or kitchen.

oh and dont forget ive got 2 5850s crossfired…

so i think their just being a pain

Also it should be mentioned that (Not sure if it can be done on all PC’s but certainly some) the fan speed can be controlled. So yeah they most likely are just being a pain.

yep your right mate… but most can be from from bios but dont mess in there if you dont know what your doing ;)
