Need info about jav by default

I downloaded a game and said I needed java. I’m new at this and all the other games I downloaded never popped up to say that. I know I have java but don’t know where to look on the computer. Could someone help with this?

first uninstall the old version of java, then visit java.com and install the new version and you will be ready to go :D. think of it like software some require either windows 7 or visita to run to meet todays standards others required vista or xp to run etc.
