What can I do to keep my neck from hurting every morning?

Legit every morning I wake up with a headache and neck pain. I have an othapedic bed, a memory foam pillow and then just a normal one with stuffing. No matter which way I switch it up, bend it, or even go without they are never comfortable. Ive used diffrent ones and it wasbok for a little while but always went back to the same. Help?

Answer #1

That’s really strange. I would recommend getting either a new bed or different pillows, but you already have the really good ones. :P The only thing I can really think of is trying to take some Aleve before you go to bed and maybe that will help it throughout the night so you don’t wake up hurting so bad. Also, Excedrin works extraordinarily for headaches! Hope you feel better! (:

I would say you sleep on your neck wrong and you should rub your neck b4 u sleep. And the headache thing I don’t know cuz I get them to but my vision gets all puffy and I start 2 c colors .

Answer #3

Answer #4

There are some sites that illustrate excercises you can do for headache and neck pain. But I would highly recommend reading through it to better understand the circumstances of the why’s of what could or could not be specific to your condition.

Answer #5

Sleep in a diffwrent postion, and get new pillows maybe

Answer #6

You should probably see an orthopedist. At 16 you shouldn’t have chronic pain so I suspect an injury or congenital problem

Answer #7

Buy a Tempurpeic pillow, either the sturdy formed 1 or the soft playable type. I own both so depending on the state of my neck muscles or vertebrae alignment I can switch back and forth!

Answer #8

it may be that your pillow(s) is to high for your neck and pushes it upward or maby it’s because you are stressed or depress and that is trigering pain to your vulnerable spots.you’re a teenage girl and like most teenage girls, they think that wearing a bra to sleep will help support their boobs from sagging or even to grow bigger, this is not true and the bra could be why it’s uncomterable to sleep in the first place. also, when your head is in a tilt position, it tightens up the neck mescles. if you sleep like a “c” your back and neck will hurt.
