My pitbull dominates the puppy

I have a 1yr 3month old pitbull and a 8week old puppy I started to let them get to know each other with the mussel on my pit as she is very powerfull as dose not seam to no it after a while I took it of my pit has not bit the puppy but is always trying to stand over it and paw it when the puppy barks because it has had enough the whole house gose up I read to let the astablish leader ship on here so I tried that the puppy gets submissive and lays down my pit then walks away but when the puppy gets up my pit gets straight back in there is this normal should I let this carry on under my suppervision I never let I go to far or should I tell my pit off when she tries this and show her she is not to do this please help I want them to get along they do play chase each other round all the my pits tail is always wagging and the hairs on her back are never up like when she sees another dog what can I do any answers???

Yes…tell her off…that pup depends on YOU to protect it. Your pitty girl also needs to understand that YOU are the leader here…and that you will protect the pup. Give it a little time, but be vigilent…she could hurt pup, without even meaning to…just the sheer difference in size.

^ do that. like the uhh dog whisperer says or whatever, you need to let the dog know that it’s not the boss, especially if you have multiple dogs. let your pit and the pup know that YOU are the boss and that they are the bltches.
