My long lost brother
Has your dad ever told you that you had another sibiling but dont know where he is? Well my dad did and I found him the other day. I was textin him…and I dont really know what to say to him..any one got any advice?
okay so I have been makin a relationship with him and gettin to know him.. so whats the next step?
Don’t try to force the relationship and feelings, they will come in time. Go to lunch together and get to know eachother, you may never have that sister brother connection but that does not mean you can’t have a great friendship, Remember that neither on of you are to blame for not knowing about the other Do you both want the same thing out of meeting eachother? if not then you need to respect eachothers feelings and space. I am sorry if things don’t turn out the way one or you may have wished, but remember, don’t push it and let eachother’s true feeling shine.
And yes I had somthing kind of like this happen, Only the kid showed up at my high school and was telling everyone I was his Step Sister, I had to set him straight as soon as I found out. LOL
Just find out some more about him, see if you two have anything in common, keep the conversation light. Favorite bands, movies, past experiences, what his parents are like, his friends, etc.
Maybe find out if ya’ll could meet up one day - I’m sure that would be exciting to meet your brother for the first time.
