Eye make up techniques?

Flicks at the corners of the eyes enlongate the eye and make them seem larger. Go with the natural shape of your eye, you can do flicks on the inner and outer corners, depending how much you want to stand out. Wearing liquid eyeliner on the top and bottom of the eye also makes them stand out more, however this look is not for everyone, it may not suit you, but you might as well try it! You can also do all sorts of designs with your eyeliner, there are many colours to chose from and loads of designs you can experiment with, including flicks, swirls and even leopard print. You don’t have to stick to just the one flick at each corner either, multiple flicks on the outer corner works as well, you can do this on the top and bottom of your eye. Liquid eyeliner often gives a harsh line, if you’re looking for a more subtle, smokey effect then Khol would be a better choice. You can complete the smokey look with some dark shaddow, black or blue or grey fading to a slightly lighter colour towards the brow. Khol usually isn’t a great idea on the top of the eye tho, as it has a tendancy to smudge and print.

A great way to avoid make up printing is to spray a little hairspray on it (eyes FIRMLY closed), this way it will stay perfect for long periods of time. (Not advisible in hot climates.)

You’ll also need to experiment with what shades of eyeliner and shaddow suit your skin tone.

The most important thing is just to have fun with it!! If you’re not confident to go out with your new look straight away, try out looks at home untill you find one you’re comfortable with.

Glitter can also create a stunning look too, in every shade.

Take your emo eyepaint or eyeliner and apply it carefully on the bottom of your eyes. Make sure you get close to the lash line. Start on the inside corner of your eye and make a thin line going to the outside of your eye. Apply your eyepaint/eyeliner in the same manner on top. Try for a rounded edge on the outside corner of your eye.

Apply a healthy amount of eye shadow to your eyelids after the eyeliner has dried. You can create a shadow effect by applying a thin amount of a dark coloured eye shadow all around your eyes. Apply one coat of black mascara.

If you want to, use foundation in a tone slightly lighter than your skin tone, or your own skin tone. Put a tiny bit of lipstick on. Blend it well into your lips and blot some off for a tinting affect.

Don’t overdo the makeup- you may look like a poser. Quick note: If you have a very light skin complexion and maybe even darker eyes, you may want to use like a dark brown (close to black) and/ or a crimson color. This will not be to harsh on your skin tone!

when your putting glittery eye shadows on, put a tissue under your eye to prevent the glitter from falling on your face, and spray a little bit of hair spray far away from your face (u don’t want to look sticky!) to prevent the glitter from coming of your eyes when your out.. dont worry it comes off wit make up remover wipes!!

..for liquid eye liner when your at home, just put some on your eye and practice different ways of putting it on until you find a style that suits your eye shape ( look in magazines for ideas!) and cotton buds are the don when you make mistakes!!!
