What to do about my dog?

some time ago we got a dog. his name is Rudy. he’s an old english sheep dog. well two years ago my mother died and, well the dog was hers. I’m never at home and when I am I’m always working on homework or looking for a job. My dad HATES Rudy and I hate to see him day after day sit and be bored. I love him but I can’t take responsibility for him either . I don’t know what to do and I feel terrible. he’s a happy healthy dog, but he needs someone to love him and give him the attention he deserves. What should I do??

Throughout the United States there are designated rescue groups that may be able to help. Here is one site I found dedicated to this breed. Maybe you can go to the left side of the site and pick a location of rescuers near you. Good luck. I hate to see a poor dog not be treated right oldenglishsheepdogclubofamerica.org/Committeepages/oesca_rescue.htm

I like the idea of a rescue group. But why not try putting an ad in the paper first and see if you can find him a home were you can check the people out first. I mean you want to give you Mom’s dog the best future for your Mom’s sake

I’m with magic…maybe contact the OES national rescue, and they can direct you to one closer to your area…This dog needs a loving home…and like magic said…you’re mom would appreciate it…I know I sure would!
