My boyfriend haven't said I love you

Me and my boyfriend has been going out for almost 3 years already and until now it’s hard for him or he haven’t said I love you yet. On the other hand he shows me and takes care of me so hard. He always wants me to be happy. He never fails to put a smile on my face but… It’s just bothering me that he can’t say those words. My question is “is it still important for me to hear those or just stay happy with him because he is showing it anyway… please help! ;-)

I think don’t think it’s a problem that he hasn’t said he loves you. Saying I love you to some people is a massive deal it’s a promise for life and he obviously values that and we he eventually says it he wants to be completely and utterly certain or maybe he just finds it hard to communicate his feelings. Have you told him you love him?
