That is a HUGE red flag! Love is NOT emotiona or any kind of abuse! Your boyfriend is a controller. This type of behavior USUALLY gets worse. Let me ask you, do you love yourself or accept yourself the way you are or potentially can be, or do you need someone else to love you to show your worth?
Leave him. He is so not worth it. There are plenty of other decent guys out there who will treat you with the respect you deserve.
